Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year is a worldwide celebration and this year is all about the pig! That’s right, 2019 is the year of the pig but there won’t be any shortage of dragons either. Thailand
Bangkok: A full day of festivities throughout the city but primarily in Chinatown on Chinese New Year Day, February 5, 2019. Be sure to check out theย First Dragon Parade on Yaowarat Road.
Taiwan
Shifen:ย Theย Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival, in the village of Shifen (40-minutes outside Tapei) on February 19, 2019, is one of the largest celebrations in Taiwan.
Singapore
Theย Chingay Parade is the biggest Lunar New Year event in Singapore and happens on February 15-16, 2019.

Kuala Lumpur: Festivitiesย take place on February 5, 2019,ย primarily on Petaling Street area in Chinatown

Sydney: Check out the 13 giant zodiac lanterns at Circular Quay at Sydney Harbour from February 1-10th, 2019. They are on display between the Sydney Opera House to The Rocks. Other festivities take place on the harbour and throughout the city.
