Laguna Beach is a coastal city that is located in the heart of Orange County, California. It is widely known for its beautiful coastline and wonderful weather but it’s so much more than just that. There are plenty of things to do in Laguna Beach. The city is perfect for a day trip from Los Angeles or even San Diego. Best Photo Spots in Laguna Beach
Victoria Beach
Victoria Beach is a stunning beach with unique features. You’ll have to walk down many steps just to get to it but it’s well worth the trek. There’s a whimsical “Pirate Tower” that looks straight out of a fairytale, a circular manmade pool, and romantic sunset views.
To get to the Pirate Tower you’ll want to head north once you hit the sand. You’ll pass the circular pool on your way there. The beach can draw in crowds especially the weekend. However, if you head south you’ll find that it’s a lot quieter and there is more room to spread out. To get to the base of the tower you’ll need to go at low tide. And depending on how low the tide is the circular pool can also be empty so timing is everything when visiting.
Steps at Heisler Park Leading Down to Picnic Cove
There are many amazing photo spots at Heisler Park but the stairs are my favorite. You’ll want to punch in “Picnic Cove” into Google Maps and it’ll take you almost directly to the stairs. There are only a couple of stairs in that area and you’ll know exactly which one once you see it.
Also, be sure to check out the gazebo. It’s picturesque and romantic. And walk around the park to check out all the lovely flowers. This park is a great place for a picnic, do some yoga, or just to enjoy the sunset.
Murals of Laguna Canyon Road
Laguna Beach has a great deal of art and most of it can be found on Laguna Canyon Road. This is where you’ll find many art galleries. The murals are amazing and one of the most Instagrammable places in Laguna Beach. Check out Art A Fair and Sawdust Festival. These venues are amazing just from the outside and have some great murals.
Top of the World
Top of the World is a scenic lookout point that is popular for sunset and offers some of the best views of Laguna Beach. It has a 2.4-mile lightly trafficked out and back trail with an elevation game just under 900 feet. Sometimes the best photo spots in Laguna Beach aren’t the easiest to get to but the steep climb is well worth it.
